This post is about 2 weeks late, but happiest of birthdays to our spunky little princess! I cannot believe it's been 3 years since Jordan was born. She has changed our life from the second we met her. To look back and think about us learning what to do with a baby to watching this girly girl twirl around in her princess dresses, it all seems like such a blur. Jordan has the sweetest spirit, loves to give kisses and squeezes and LOVES to dance! She loves to tell us that she is a big girl and in preschool, and not just school like the babies. She loves to put on "long long" dresses and says anyone in a dress is a princess. She plays with her princess dolls and her babies all day and night, we read princess books at night, and she loves to teach her sister about the princesses and what color their dresses are. She is the best big sister we could have imagined and takes great pride in sharing her food and telling mommy when sister is crying.
We can learn so much from you, my 3 year old. I pray you always tell me when you're happy or when you're sad, that you always love the big way you love today and that you always find the joy in the small things just like you do now!
We started off her birthday weekend with making brownies and then she insisted on putting on her flower girl dress so she could twirl. Dance parties are a nightly event in this house. She asked us to put on her dress and then, "Daddy/Mommy, can you help me dance now?"
Our do-nut shop down the street gives you a free dozen donuts on your birthday! What little girl (and adult) wouldn't love this!
Taylor was there too...she liked the donuts a little too much! Hard for her to understand why she can't eat all 12 of them. My sweet little sugar bears :)
That afternoon, our cousins came in for our birthday party. But first...Finding Dory!
She sat just like this for the entire movie.
Next up was our gymnastics birthday party! We had cousins, neighborhood friends, old friends and brand new PRE-school friends all come to celebrate this girl turning 3.
I love the way Barrett and Jordan love each other. He was making sure everyone knew she was the birthday girl.
They were playing peek a boo with each other in line.
Parachute time!
Taylor always has to just watch when we take Jordan to gymnastics, so she was excited she got to play in the foam pit like the big kids. Also, because daddy was there. My how this little one loves him!
Finally letting go of the rope swing by herself! The look of pure excitement on the left just kills me!
Sweet friends! I just thought this picture was cute
Payton girl loved the rope swing.
These sweet Primrose pre-school girls made a throne and didn't move!
Cupcake time!
"You're my best friend."
"No, you're MY best friend!"
Our attempt at a cousin picture. One day, chickens...one day we will get you all looking and smiling.
Have I mentioned how much this girl loves princesses. "And purple mommy, I love purple"
Remember that time I had to buy my child a princess night gown because she wanted to wear her dresses to sleep every night? This girl!
We spent the whole next day opening presents one by one and playing with each of them. Love these pictures of Jordan in her favorite dress because it goes all the way down to her toes.
When Jordan was born, Poppy gave us a few bottles of Jordan wine, we have toasted one bottle to her on each of her birthdays...and maybe a few in between. ;)
Oh, how you've grown my sweet girl!
