Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend marks the end of summer and beginning of Fall. We have had the best summer getting to know Taylor and watching Jordan grow into such the little girl. Fall is going to be a great season with these girls and football games, holidays and a little basketball on the side. It has been so great to have Daddy home so much, but will enjoy being his best little fans with season right around the corner!

We started off the weekend with a night out with our friend Hope...oh, and her parents too. Fun night out with the Singletons!

Jordan got a hold of the selfie stick and started taking pictures of her and her friend. I was pretty impressed with this one with both of them actually in the picture.

Then she asked Chris to hold the selfie stick, walked over to this spot about 5 feet away and smiled for him to take her picture!! Me and Taylor jumped in too. I thought I was hiding my beer behind Jordan...clearly not. Judge away! :)

Mommy and Daddy trading off Taylor time!

Watching big sister play!
Chris and Jordan went to gymnastics, so I obviously took this time to dress Taylor in her Aggie gear for the first college football weekend!

Aaaanndd then Chris came out of her room with her room with her like this. He's lucky she's still cute in orange! I then quickly forced Jordan to put on her Aggie shirt. :)

And then Chris and I went to the A&M/Arizona State game that night to root on the Aggies. Well...I rooted, Chris claims he was just there to watch a good game.

On Sunday, we went down to visit more friends in Galveston. It's a nice little road trip when this is going on in the back seat. They both woke up a little fussy before we got there, so we immediately put on the Frozen soundtrack and next thing we know Taylor is back asleep and Jordan is singing.

Olaf: "Put me in summer and I'll be a...
Jordan: "HAPPY SNOWMAN"

Enjoying some quiet time while we drive!

At the beach!

Jordan playing in the mud.

Cute little beach girl

Playing with Luke!

After a busy weekend, on Monday we planned to not leave the the house. Just hung out with these two littles. I love watching Taylor start to interact, watch and smile at Jordan. Jordan adores her little sister and loves to give her hugs and kisses any chance she gets! Taylor decided she wanted to sit up on her own and show off her Dixie Chicken outfit!

August 2015

We weren't able to do our  August vacation this year since Taylor is so little, but we did take advantage of Daddy being home and went on a few adventures to explore Houston and The Woodlands!

But first...a car selfie as we were able to get away for one dinner to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary!

This isn't about us, just nice to remember that we really did leave the house from time to time...ok back to the girls.

We had fun getting yogurt and playing at The Woodlands Children's Museum. Jordan does love her yogurt, but it is a sad sad case when it's all over. I cant' say I blame ya Jordan, I wish I could cry too when my treat was all gone.

Stories with Daddy

People warned me, but it's so true that it doesn't get much better than watching Jordan love on her little sister. Taylor is starting to watch her more and more and check out everything big sister does. I hope I never forget the sound of Jordan saying "Good Morning didter" and "HI didter" while waving frantically in her face and giving kisses.

Jordan took a quick break from playing when she realized Taylor was watching her came over to give her kisses.

Jordan helping Daddy when he spent a day home with the girls. By the way, Jordan put her own dress on backwards, I wanted to blame Chris, but I can't this time. Jordan loves to get in the bed with Taylor, I think this is a bad habit we probably shouldn't have started, but it makes her so happy!

I walked out of Taylor's room for a second and come back to Jordan showing Taylor the pictures of her book "reading" to her. Love!

Laughing at sister

I was trying to sweep the kitchen floor and could not find the dust pan anywhere. I asked Jordan if she knew where it was, halfway joking, and she laughed, ran into her room and brought me this.

Just a sweet little picture

Crazy cousins and their goggles.

Jordan and Levi Rhine! They're only 4 months apart, will be fun to watch them play together when we visit Sarah and Josh in College Station.

Jordan loves her Daddy so much even a box can deter her from kissing him.

Chris eats breakfast in the morning with an audience.

Nothing better than big smiles when your little one hasn't been feeling well!

Jordan loves building towers with her blocks and then knocking them over. This one seemed pretty impressive with the base being a triangle on it's side.

Family snuggles

Gymnastics!

Jordan spent a couple of days in College Station with Gamma and Poppy before Gamma started back to work.

Back in her favorite seat playing balloons!

How we spend most of our afternoons before Daddy gets home! "Jordan, you better hold on tight". I don't breathe well, but at least I know she's holding on.

Grandpapa and Oma came for a visit. It's rare to catch a big smile like this on camera from Grandpapa, I'm glad these girls bring it out in him! :) We had fun playing and exploring the Houston aquarium while they were here.

She wasn't so sure about most of the aquarium, but lost her mind when she saw a fish that looked like Dory. She was jumping up and down chanting "Dory" and kept looking for every blue fish in the tank. And then, there's Jordan with her Daddy...surprise, surprise! I joke about it, but it is so sweet to see how much she adores Chris.

We also took an adventure to the Houston Children's Museum which is huge! We'll have to go back when we have time to check everything out.

Playing with David!

Jordan has been learning so much and has started talking all day long:
- Mommy sit right HERE...NOW
- That way, this way
- Daddy head (when she wants to sit on his shoulders)
- Fourteen, fourteen, fourteen (When she's counting, she always finishes with a repetition of the number 14)
- UP pls Mommy/Daddy (repeat)
-Whole World, one more time? (For night time songs)
- Prayers, Daddy?
- Morning didter, Morning Mommy, Morning Daddy (all with kisses)
- I love you Mommy/Daddy/Sister
