All about Jordan

I have done a lot of posting following Taylor through her month to month development and capturing our adventures as a family of four, but I realized I hadn't taken a moment to jot down a little bit about what Jordan is saying and doing these days.

I just walked out of her room as she sang with me for bedtime: "Go to sleep, little girl. Go to sleep, little Jordan. Close your eyes and shut them tight. Go to sleepytown tonight." Sometimes she sings "Go to sleep, little mommy" then pats me on the back and kisses me on my forehead saying "night night Mommy, I love you". It is moments like this that made me think that I better write something down before I can't hold onto these memories.

I find it so ironic how much Jordan loves to play "night night" considering what an awful time she has actually going to bed at night. She loves to have us lay down on the couch, cover us up, spend 3 minutes making sure the blanket is "juuuuusstt perfect", and pat us. Then yell "Wake up Mommy/Daddy!!!". As much as I would like to forget the trouble she has going to sleep, I am pretty sure this is one memory that will stay with me forever. She is on go all the time...100 miles an hour from the second she wakes up until she finally falls asleep. Besides the fact that I would love for her to just GO TO SLEEP, I do love this little personality of hers.

When we put Taylor down, she has started to remind me to say our prayers, so she folds her hands, bows her head, closes her eyes and waits for me to say "In Jesus name" so she can proclaim "A-MEN"! Also, hearing her sing "Jesus loves me" with me when we put Taylor down melts my heart!

Jordan is such a creature of habit around the house. She loves to stand on her stool and ask "Whatchu doin' Mommy/Daddy". She loves top help daddy cook and eat anything on the counter she can reach from her stool.

Her language has really exploded and she is just learning as much as she can every day.
I love how she always says everything in the form of a question. "Mommy, you put on yooouuuurrr shoes?" "Daddy, have shoes on so he can go outside?". It's a little sing-song kind of tune that I wish I could truly capture. She also sometimes talks out of the side of her month and kind of winks one eye when she says things like "I don't know" or "No, that's ok". I really have to try to get this on camera...it kills me every time!

I am most proud of the amazing and sweet big sister Jordan has been to Taylor. Watching her love on her, play with her and try to make her laugh just melts my heart. This isn't the best picture, but Jordan wouldn't stop kissing Taylor, she was cracking us up. She doesn't always hug Taylor very gently, but Tay's pretty tough. Also, Jordan may or may not still be begging to wear her Christmas pajamas in March.

Jordan loves her accessories:

She has always been such a daddy's girl and explodes with excitement every time he walks in the door. Love this sweet picture of her helping her daddy to his radio interview after this basketball season.

I'm sure it's hard to tell when they're 2, but I think we may have a little athlete on our hands. She loves to play basketball "Just like daddy, does?" and this girl LOVES her gymnastics. I cannot get enough of watching her jump on the trampoline and her little stretches that they do. She has such a look of pure joy on her face every time.

We also started swimming lessons and she loves it! This girl is growing up way too fast!

This girl is such a ham. She won't take a picture if she doesn't want to, but now asks me to take pictures of her and then says "lemme see...oh, is cute, mommy!!"

Don't even ask...but this picture had to be documented somewhere!
"I love flowers. Let me go find some"

I'm aware that this picture is completely blurry, but to me...this is Jordan. I heard someone use the words "delightfully chaotic", and I am totally stealing it for Jordan. She is the sweetest spirit and has more energy than any of us know what to do with. Her face is so full of expression all the time! You always know exactly what she is feeling or thinking. I love this blurry picture of her and her pure excitement and joy as she was playing with this curtain. This girl is everything!
