May 2015

Meanwhile, during Taylor's first month, this girl didn't slow down a bit. We are so proud of the big sister Jordan girl has been and cannot wait to watch this friendship develop between our two sweet girls.

Taylor was being fussy during her 1 month pictures, so big sister jumped in to show her how it was done!

And played with sister's hat she found in her room! Jordan loves to play in Taylor's room and go into her closet to look at all her clothes. She also loves to open the dresser and give us a diaper when changing Taylor, sweet big sister!

With Mommy being so busy feeding and caring for Taylor, Jordan has been getting quite a bit of personal Daddy attention. She likes to stand on her stool and help him cook. She is very particular about where you put her stool too. She bends down and taps the floor to show you exactly where it should go and then climbs up and says "watch".

Dance party with Daddy!

Daddy has even taken on trying to figure out how to do Jordan's hair. This is his first pony tail attempt!

Big sister duties

Don't get between this girl and her bubbles

Took a little time to make some brownies with Mommy too

Getting this "mother of two" thing totally figured out

Everyone ready?

Sigh..this girl! We took our first trip down to the pool for the summer and she insisted on wearing her boots. Sure baby girl, no problem. One day, maybe she'll figure out which way to put her sunglasses on.

We still walk down to the park every chance we get. She loves to be outside and her new thing is hanging from the bar on the slide. Fearless little girl.

It only took her about 20 months to not be terrified of her Poppy, so glad we're on the other side of that. He had to work harder than most for big Jordan hugs and kisses! I should mention that this isn't really how Poppy usually smiles!

This girl loves Barrett so much! They just play and laugh at each other any time they are together. They're so fun to watch!

Sweet Jordan girl getting some time get out of the house and play rocks with her cousins!

Still loves being thrown in the air and always asks Daddy for "one more" and holds up her finger right by her face. She also does this when asking for "one cookie" or "one more book". Something about that face makes it impossible not to give in and give her just one more!

Doing big girl things while sister sleeps

Sweet face!

We're still going to gymnastics every Saturday and Jordan loves it. She love stacking the blocks from the foam pit and walking with her hands on her hips like a real gymnast! :) It's been so fun to watch her follow instructions and master new things.

Just another day. Also, love that she calls the girl on her shirt "Mama"

What's going on this month:
 - Jordan's language has been taking off recently and she's really starting to string words together...unfortunately for us, it's "Mama stop" and "Don't Touch". We're so proud.
- Jordan loves to play on her bed and will play "night night" with her stuffed animals for a very long time.
- We're counting to 10!
- We are definitely starting our 2 year old phase with words like "Mine" and "No", unfortunately for us, she loves time out so has no problem sitting in the corner when she's in trouble!
- Jordan runs all over the house, everywhere she goes. I wish I was that excited to go put my shoes in the closet.
-Starting to make her own fashion choices, mainly very particular about her shoes.
- She definitely has a mind of her own and knows exactly how she wants things done. May cause a few power struggles down the road, but for now, most of it is pretty harmless and cute!

Taylor: 1 Month Old

It has been 1 month since our met this precious little girl. So far she has been super sweet to us and has been sleeping and eating well. It's so hard to imagine what your babies will look like when they get here. I never thought I would have two blue eyed baby girls, but it looks like that may be what we have! Her eyes are getting lighter and lighter every day. We do not think she looks like Jordan at 1 month old though, she is already her own little person! There could still be a chance that this one looks like Mommy even if JUST a little bit. Taylor is 10lb 8 oz at one month.

Also check out Taylor's sweet newborn pictures by Lovebird Photographie!

First picture in her chair. This picture was at 6 days old.

First doctor's appointment, snuggling with Daddy.

Taylor's first bath!

Big sister helping!

Had to show off our "Mudge" onesie that was made for all Mudge babies before Jordan was born. It says, "it's like Fudge with an M" underneath.

Already a swaddle escape artist. Gotta pull out the big guns with the pockets and velcro to make sure she stays in. See how much happier she seems?!

Jordan has been adjusting well to the new addition in her house sharing mommy and daddy. She is so sweet always giving kisses and wanting to hold her baby sister. She also likes to tell us when she is crying or sleeping! Every morning or after Taylor wakes up, Jordan gets in her face and waves saying, "hi dister". Such a sweet girl.

Sweet baby snuggles

Gamma and her two Mudge girls and Taylor holding Poppy's hand

Uncle Kyle came to visit and meet Taylor. We had to throw the baby at him to make sure he'd hold her before he left. Aunt Irene came too, but we forgot to take a picture. Will get one soon!

Snuggles with Aunt Alli

Arms up!

and posing with her lovey!

Same pajamas...different sister. It's funny to see how different they already look from each other. Let's revisit just how chunky Jordan was from the beginning! Taylor seems so much longer than Jordan did too.

Sweet little face

Taylor's already a pro at selfies.

Finally a "cousins" picture that isn't Jordan and Alli's kids :) Barrett did such a good job holding his baby cousin Taylor

Cheers to our newest addition the only way we know how...wine with Gamma and Poppy!

Taylor Allison - It's amazing how much our love has grown in the past month. What a joy and a blessing you are to our lives, that we never even knew we were missing. We cannot wait to watch the little girl and woman you will become. You have made us a family of 4 and we are so excited to share this adventure of life with you! We love you more than you could ever know!
Love: Daddy, Mommy and big sister Jordan
