Taylor: 1 year old

Time slow down!!! Taylor girl turned one last week and I've been delaying my blog because I'm in complete denial. She weighs 22 lb (80%)and is 30 inches long (77%). This sweet girl started walking the week before her first birthday and hasn't stopped! She's working on picking up speed so she can keep up with Jordan. She is starting to babble, lots of "da da, ba ba" and maybe a "ma" every now and then.

Watching these two play together just gets better and better and I know it will continue the older they get. Taylor loves to crawl up in her chair and likes even more to climb into Jordan's.

I hope Jordan always loves to share with her little sister. She loves making sure Taylor has some of her snack and wants her to sit down and listen to her read.

She already has that little sister thing down where sometimes she does things just to annoy her big sister. Jordan actually was loving this one and kept saying that sister was snuggling and watching tv with her.

Went down to explore all of the Final Four festivities in downtown Houston this year. Jordan kept saying we were at "daddy's work"...One day baby girl..maybe one day daddy's work will take us to the Final Four :)

She's just about to ready to start gymnastics instead of just watching Jordan every week.

Oh baby girl and your sweet sweet little spirit!

Sometimes when you don't feel so good, you need some mommy snuggles...
...a little Mommy time and playing with big sister's toys...

...and maybe a trip to Mommy's work. Jordan kept calling this the "castle". Oh how sweet life is through the eyes of a child, she only wanted to go inside the "castle at mommy's work".

We spent several weekend this month celebrating Taylor turning 1! We had visits from grandparents and took a visit to College Station to celebrate Taylor and Poppy's birthday with our cousins.

When you can just hop in the stroller and walk to campus on a pretty day, you get a few Aggie pictures with your cousins.

The oldest and the youngest of the cousins. Barrett absolutely adores Taylor and always wants to take pictures with her. He is so sweet and always is kissing on her and making sure she is ok. I know he's the best big brother, but is the best big cousin too! So sweet!

Then it was time for cake! Taylor girl, in this house we do a little thing called Cookie Cake...welcome to the big kids club where you can enjoy every bit of it!

Now that Taylor is a little older, I don't avoid going to the store alone with both of them as much as I have the past year. They're so funny in the cart together listening to Jordan explain everything to Taylor and she is just soaking it all in. There's so much to see (and touch)!

Now that she's started walking, she has also perfected her climbing abilities. We're going to have to watch this one.

I hope you don't ever lose that sweet sweet smile, little girl. You can light up a room so quickly!

When you have more toys and more clothes than any little girl needs, what should you get for your first birthday? A Power Wheels of course!! Happy 1st Birthday little one!

What a blessing this little joy has been to our family over the last year. She has brought more happiness to the other 3 of us than we could have ever imagined. Jordan is learning more and more about her best friend, and Chris and I have appreciated this "baby" stage so much more now that we saw how quickly it will fly by.

Things we don't want to forget:
 - She slowly walks to wherever she is going, but hasn't gone back to crawling even though it's faster
- Her toothy grin (still just the 6 teeth)
- Her slobbery open mouth kisses
-The way she just claps her hands together when she signs "more"
- Wiggles her whole body when she signs "please"
- Loves to eat...just like the rest of her family
- "Talks" to Jordan when they're playing together
- Only wants to sit in Jordan's chair
-Snuggles her head on your shoulder just for a quick hug
- Loves her purple care bear that big sister gave her for her birthday
-Starting to really interact and play with you, either peek-a-boo or will hand you a toy, then take it back and giggle.
-Watching her little brain work as she figures things out when she plays by herself
