Jordan: 9 Months

Our little chunk sure is starting to slow down. She hasn't gained much weight since her 8 month check up. It is probably because she has started moving around so much. She has moved from her army scoot to full on crawling and is now pulling up on everything. She goes up and down all day long.

Jordan started this month with her first night away from both Mommy and Daddy. I took a one night trip up to Fort Worth to visit Aunt Alli, Uncle Matt and Jordan's cousins while she stayed at Gamma and Poppy's house for the first time by herself! She did great, and I had the best night's sleep I've had in 8 months, even if there were crying babies in the house...they weren't mine to take care of!

Now that it's March, we are so excited to finally get ready for some warm weather again and the longer days. We have been able to spend more time outside in the evenings and on the weekends.

Jordan also still loves her Gymboree play class. We have fun Mommy/Jordan time on our day's off. It is fun to watch her play and learn new songs. Here is our little future basketball star and Jordan crawling like a champ in the tunnels!

Jordan has also discovered that we are watching her while she sleeps. Well....not really, but she has learned that there is some sort of device on the corner of her crib, and now when she's ready for us to come get her, she sticks her face right in the camera as she tries to eat this new little toy. The key is to get to her, before the camera gets unplugged.

This month we got teeth #3 and #4. Her front two teeth have made their way in and she loves learning how to use them, by biting us every chance she gets. She still really likes to show off her bottom two. They were her first, and she's so proud!

Love this girl and the faces she makes! There are no other words needed here.

Jordan enjoyed rooting her Daddy on at his basketball games this month. From the conference championships to the CIT, we had fun sitting with Nani and rooting for our Bearkats. Best part of March is tournament basketball and Jordan will learn this soon enough.

We are getting ready for spring and summer which means buying sun hats, swim suits, shorts and tank tops! I think Jordan knew something in those bags was for her.

Just this last week she has discovered that she can walk pushing her toy around. This girl will be walking on her own in no time. I'm not sure Chris and I are ready for this, but her little legs are so darn cute when she's up walking!

Things we don't want to forget:
- She has started to reach for her books after her bedtime bottle
-The way she shakes her head from side to side as if to say: "NO"
- The smile you get when you pick her up from school
- How she has a dirty diaper almost EVERY time she is in the car (Maybe I could forget this one)
- How she claps her hands together
- She still doesn't mind snuggling with you for a little nap

- How she cries when she crawls toward you because she wants you to get her
- She's in a 'I want my parents' phase, and honestly...we're not complaining. :)
-She pulls up on our legs begging for us to pick her up

Jordan: 8 Months

February  proved to be another month filled with new milestones, developments and one happy girl (except for that one pesky ear infection). Jordan is pulling up on everything that can bear her weight. Her favorite item to crawl up on is Mommy and Daddy. She is in a bit of a stage where she really wants her parents. I know this won't last forever, so we will just embrace it with open arms for now!

We started off the month celebrating new babies and our best of friends! We had a baby shower for Mia Aguirre and then attended Luke Holasek's 2nd birthday! We loved celebrating with Mattie Rhine at the party. Jordan will be running around with this girl before we know it!

This is what we see now in the monitor when this little one is ready to get up. We couldn't take a picture of the first time she pulled up on her crib because the mattress was still up higher and the crib was at her waist. We had to rush in before she just toppled over at 3am! Now we just laugh at her as she stares at the monitor as if to say, "Hello...I'm ready, come get me!"

While Daddy had a couple of road games, Jordan and Mommy watched Disney movies and folded the laundry. Well...kinda. There is not much better than watching her get complete happiness out of something you dread so much!

Another little fun tid bit that we learned this month is that this girl is quick when you try to change her diaper. Everyone needs a break from those stuffy diapers from time to time. I'm sure she'll hate us for these one day, but they're too cute to pass up!

We had a little visit from Grandpapa and got to try on our pretty Valentine's dress Lynn made for Jordan.

We went up to hang out with Daddy and the boys and talk some pregame strategy. Jordan was just staring and listening to him and the other coaches talk hoops, it was really cute. She's such a daddy's girl already and will be on the court before we know it. She's working on her shot already! She flexes her wrist up and down. "Reaching in the cookie jar"

For Jordan's first Valentine's Day we went to her first Gymboree play class. Our little valentine loved learning new songs and climbing on all the new equipment. It is fun to get out of the house on our days together and go play! I love this picture where she is really showing off her two bottom teeth. We had a fun Valentine's day playing and then went to hang out with the boys up in Huntsville!

This just may be one of my favorites. We never capture her profile, but it just shows her sweet little features. She was staring at the lion dangling from her jumper. She can get so intense staring at things sometimes!

We spent a Saturday game day in Hunstville hanging out with Ms. Jayden Hooten during the game! She may not look too excited here, but she loves the band and just watching the basketball game trying to figure it all out.

During season, we LIVE for our Sundays. It is the only full day that we get to spend as a little family of 3. We love taking this girl to the park. It is so fun to watch her swing on the swings, ride in her wagon, check out all the big kids and just watch her love every second of being outside. We cannot wait until summer to get this little roll in the pool! :)

I love when I get to make her an Aggie girl and go show her off! We even like the mohawk. Maybe we'll cut her hair like this even when it grows out!

At the end of the day, these cheeks and snuggles are hard to beat. I know she's growing up and now sleeps and takes naps in her own bed, but from time to time, you absolutely cannot pass up good snuggles. These won't last forever!

Things we don't want to forget:

- That two bottom teeth smile we get when she smiles really big
- She loves peek-a-boo
- We now hear lots of "da" and "ta" noises
- She's developing little tickle spots right on her neck
-Loves watching us dance silly around the house
- Even though she has a blocked tear duct, and sometimes her eyes are stuck shut when she wakes up, she still gives you the biggest one eyed smile when you walk in to get her!
-She's been scooting around, until her leg gets stuck underneath her so she just gives up and sits down and plays with whatever she can reach.
-She smiles all the time, but those little giggles are not as often and are priceless!
- WE'RE SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT...FINALLY!
