We're Ready!! 38 Weeks

I know we're only 38 weeks along and have 2 (or 3) weeks to go, but Chris and I are definitely ready. The nursery is completed, work has been delegated and we've 'nested' just about as much as we're going to nest. Now. We wait. This anxious stage may be the end of me, every single time a movement feels slightly different than normal, I am convinced I'm going into labor. My doctor assures me she will not let me go past a week late and I'm beginning to think July 5th may be the new expected date, but maybe I'm being a bit pessimistic...and impatient.

They say Jordan is about as large as a watermelon which is both cool, that I can carry around a watermelon-size human being every day, and not so cool as it's 100 degrees outside and she is pushing down on me every time I take a step. Not to mention the birth of said watermelon, but once again...I'm kind of avoiding all labor thoughts until absolutely necessary.

It may have taken us the last 4 months to finish the nursery, but we think it's finally done!  For some reason, I didn't take a picture of the actual crib or bedding, maybe because I'm still storing things there and it isn't quite picture ready, but here is a look at the rest of the room:

We also did maternity pictures with our friend Laura Hollander. Here is the link to her blog and a few of our favorites:

One loved little girl

Currently at 37 weeks. I don't have a belly picture. I've apparently gotten tired of changing my sign and taking a picture outside because it's 95 degrees and I keep putting off for fear of melting. Hopefully I'll get one more picture in before Jordan makes her grand entrance.
The nursery is just about done, all of her clothes have been washed and hung and she has everything a little human could possibly need waiting for her in her new home. We weren't quite packed and ready for her...until I found out my body is starting this process with a few mild contractions over the weekend. We're pretty sure this was just God's way of telling us to pack our stuff and start preparing for this crazy adventure of parenthood. :) We also realized we weren't as scared as we thought we were. The excitement is starting to get to us, and we are getting so ready to hold our sweet baby girl and then figure out what to do from there!!

We don't know know much about our little girl yet, but we do know that she is very VERY loved. We are so blessed to have so many people in our lives that love and care about us and are helping us to prepare to bring Jordan into this world. Here are a few more pictures of her being showered!

We had a shower in Austin surrounded by all of the women who have known Chris his entire life. They have been so generous to welcome me in and provide Chris and I with so many things we will need once Jordan gets here.

We also had a shower with all of our new friends in The Woodlands! These girls and their husbands have so quickly become an important part of our life and community here over the past year and a half. We really are so blessed to have them support us in this stage of our life and they are all ready to babysit once little Jordan gets here! :)

I don't know why these pictures are coming in so squatty. If you click on the pictures you can see the original size and it looks much better. I promise we all look much better than this pictures shows!
